In 2013 Auction Technology Group completed a rewrite of its online auction management toolboxes using the knowledge built up as pioneers of the industry. In 2014 Auction Technology Group acquired Auction Evo – the leading edge cloud based auction management system. The two products have been merged to create GAP - the most comprehensive cloud based auction management system available. GAP powers Auction Technology Group’s portals (the-saleroom.com, BidSpotter.co.uk, BidSpotter.com and i-bidder.com) and is used by over 1,500 auctioneers in the US, Canada and UK.

From its inception as the flagship publication for the fine art and antiques market more than 40 years ago (Antiques Trade Gazette), the business has expanded both geographically and vertically to become the provider of a best-in-class online global auction platform in the UK, USA and Canada. As well as publishing the industry bible the Antiques Trade Gazette, Auction Technology Group’s auction portals currently span art and antiques (the-saleroom.com) and industrial and commercial auctions (BidSpotter.com, BidSpotter.co.uk and i-bidder.com) as well as white label solutions for auctioneers. Auction Technology Group’s portals connect auctioneers with bidders from all over the world and in 2014 sold more than £310m online.
