In January of 2014 JDSU, a market leader in optical communications networks, communications test and measurement equipment, lasers, and other custom optics acquired Network Instruments. Moving forward as the new Performance Management unit of the Network and Service Enablement division of JDSU, Network Instruments continues its commitment to developing the highest quality enterprise network and application performance management solutions.

Network Instruments was launched in 1994 by a former rocket scientist and a product development specialist who recognized the need for superior network management solutions. Their shared vision was to build uniquely effective network products that integrate customer needs and feedback, while raising the benchmark on quality.
Network Instruments made the decision to take ownership of each product decision by developing all products in-house – from concept through delivery.
