About Kirkland-Tareq M. Alosh
Tareq had a significant career working in the federal government. Tareq was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for several years, where he earned his appointment as a Primary Examiner and was designated a technical expert and quality nominee. Tareq has also clerked for the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he drafted briefs and mooted arguments for cases before federal courts of appeals. He has also performed research in the thermal and nanotechnology labs at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, for which he was named a John Mather Nobel Scholar.
Tareq also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has litigated civil rights cases—including habeas petitions, and housing and employment discrimination suits—before federal and state trial courts and administrative agencies.
