Unlike those blue-chip Silicon Valley behemoths that rode venture capital-back at the initial stages, Panacea had an earthy beginning. We set sail in 2001 with nothing but a modest amount of capital and a ton of passion. The former we could incorporate into our balance sheet, the latter we couldn’t.
Yet, we believe it was the latter that made all the difference.
We had to bootstrap to get from one month to the next. We would take on projects ranging from domain registration and website designing to logo designing and you-name-it. There were times when the temptation to throw in the towel was almost irresistible.
If it weren’t for the fact that our passion kept coming to the rescue, we would have given in. It isn’t without reason that the p-word is called the best friend of entrepreneurship. Soon enough, the storms died away and the clouds parted to reveal a halcyon sky. Panacea hired its first employee in 2002, landed its first international project in 2004 and became a company during the same year.
The wind is still in our sails.
We have a full-time staff of 85 professionals, work on wonderfully challenging products and boast a reputed client base which is almost entirely international, underscoring the fact that our reputation transcends borders and time zones.
