Set-up in May 2004, Tesco Hindustan Service Centre (HSC) is the global services arm for Tesco. With over 6000 people, HSC is at the heart of the Tesco group. Tesco HSC provides IT‚ Business, commercial & Supply Chain, Property and Finance Services support to Tesco globally. The IT Services group is involved in designing‚ developing‚ testing and managing IT applications that are critical for Retail life cycle (Buy.Move.Sell). This arm also owns the deployment, servicing and maintenance of Tesco Operating Model and specializes in Remote Infrastructure Management. The Business Services group provides services including Recruitment, Payroll and Pension support, Stores Support (Retail expenses processing, technical helpdesk, Sale fraud and Central Security Station Support), Distribution Support (logistics, inventory, distribution direct and fines), Property Services (Stores planning and designing and Space range and merchandising) and DOTCOM business support (Insights, Online Advertising, Web designing, price checking, etc). The Finance Services Group is strategic in paying to the suppliers, managing cash, maintaining the books of accounts and providing management reports to the Tesco senior management.
