A private, Canadian software company developing software solutions for the legal sector. The company's products have been utilized on many of the largest, most complex and high-stakes files in the world.
The Company was born out of necessity. In 1997, the principal was a plaintiff in a large, successful construction claim in British Columbia. The trial lasted 7 months and was the world's first paperless proceeding using technologies developed specifically for the trial. At its conclusion, Judge Madame Justice Beames, and the legal teams involved, encouraged continued use of this technology. In 1998 the Searchlight™ litigation support software was introduced.
